Überforderung ist Strategie beim Nature Theater of Oklahoma. Die des Publikums durch Inszenierungen, die sich vor inhaltlicher wie formaler Monotonie nicht scheuen; zunächst aber die eigene durch die autodidaktische Erschließung immer neuer künstlerischer Ausdrucksformen. Seit Jahren schon arbeitet sich die New Yorker Truppe um das Regisseurs-Paar Pavol Liska und Kelly Copper an dem Projekt "Life and Times" ab.
Die epische Life and Times-Serie von Nature Theater of Oklahoma wird mit Episode 4.5 fortgesetzt: High-School-Chemie, mehr Katzen.

Overtaxing is strategy at the Nature Theater of Oklahoma. The audience's strategy by staging productions that are not afraid of monotony in content and form; but first of all the audience's own by self-taught development of ever new forms of artistic expression. The New York troupe around the director couple Pavol Liska and Kelly Copper have been working on the "Life and Times" project for years.
The epic Life and Times series by Nature Theater of Oklahoma will be continued with Episode 4.5: High school chemistry, more cats.

Was kann es Schöneres geben, als den Handel zu beleben. Jazzschnitten im Umlauf, mit eigenen deutschen Texten belegt. Die Songs, mit viel Witz und Ironie, melancholisch minimalistisch frittiert, doch immer liebevoll arrangiert. Bekanntes also neu. What could be better than stimulating trade. Jazz cuts in circulation, with own German texts. The songs, with lots of wit and irony, melancholically minimalistically fried, but always lovingly arranged. Well-known things are new. The Ukulele and Cigar Box - played by Peter Z. - and Voice and Scatt - sung by Jörg D.. The trade with jazz, it becomes more human. You can rely on it!

"Lonely Bones ist eher eine traumhafte Erfahrung als ein Film mit einer traditionellen Erzählung oder Formeln", erklärt Rosto. "Deshalb heißt es in der Synopsis: über das Träumen und das Opfern. Der Film ist wie ein Gedicht: Es geht nicht darum, worum der Film geht, sondern um das, was der Film ist. Jeder Einzelne im Publikum kann seine eigenen Erfahrungen, Interpretationen oder Schlussfolgerungen machen. Ich betrachte diesen Film als visuelle Kunst und nicht als Unterhaltung".

“Lonely Bones is a dreamlike experience, rather than a film with a traditional narrative or formulas,” Rosto explains. “That’s why the synopsis reads: about making dreams and making sacrifice. The film is like a poem: it's not what the film is about, it's about what the film ís. Every single individual in the audience can have his or her own experience, interpretation, or conclusions. I think about this film as visual art, rather than entertainment.”

Ihr Ziel sind unbehagliche Live-Situationen, die von allen Anwesenden vollständige Präsenz verlangen. Sie benutzen vorgefundene Materialien, vorhandene Spielorte, aufgeschnappte Sprache und beobachtete Gesten. Durch extreme formale Manipulation und übermenschliche Anstrengungen bewirken sie eine Verschiebung in der Wahrnehmung unserer alltäglichen Realität, die sich über den Ort der Performance hinaus erstreckt, bis in die Welt, in der wir leben.

Nature Theater of Oklahoma members put themselves in impossible situations and work out of their own ignorance and uncertainty. Their aim is to create uncomfortable live situations that require full presence from everyone present. They use found materials, existing venues, picked up speech and observed gestures. Through extreme formal manipulation and superhuman efforts, they cause a shift in the perception of our everyday reality, which extends beyond the place of performance to the world we live in.
